Elijah Clark WALKER

Nov. 18, 1838, Billy Stickney, head of a Creek family, received power of attorney to sell land to Elijah C. Walker.  On April 2, 1834, Elijah requested that a marriage liscense be issued to Ann Pinkard, his niece,to marry Daniel C. O'Conner.  The request was made because Ann's motherand step father were not in this country. On Nov. 19, 1838, Elijah was appointed guardian for the infant children of Lewisa and Edward C. Phillips who were deceased.
Elijah C. Walker bought   80.25 acres of land Aug. 1, 1837.  This was recorded in the land office of Mardisville, Alabama.  His acreage was thenorth half of the northeast quarter of section 21, range 8 east, township 20 south.  On October 10, 1839, he bought 160 acres located in section11, township 22 south, range 10 east.  This was also recorded at the Mardisville land office.
Elijah Clark Walker was a merchant.  The value of his real estate was$600 in 1850.
