An entry in the Bishops Transcripts gives a baptism for Mary Sampson, daughter of William and Margaret Sampson dated 17 Jul 1749. This is likely to be an incorrect reference to Mary Sampson.
It has been reported that William had ten children by his wife, Clara. All ten were born in Australia.
