Roy Pete Terry Passes Away

    Roy (Pete) Terry, 95, died Sunday, August 24, 1986, at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, Mo. A retired farmer, he was a former resident of Gilman City, Mo.
    Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, at the Church of Christ in Gilman City with the Brother Gary Bell, of Cameron, Mo. officiating.
    Special music was provided by the singers of the Church of Christ of Jamesport, Mo.
    Pallbearers were Andrew Deskins, Ivan Read, Lewis Gutshall, Max Williams, Jack Williams and Dale White.
    Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Gilman City, Mo. under the direction of the Roberson-Polley Funeral Home in Gilman City.
    Mr. Terry was born February 25, 1891 in Daviess County, Mo., the son of William S. Terry and Nancy Ellen Reed Terry.  He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth in 1975.
    Mr. Terry was a member of the Gilman City Church of Christ.
    He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Gutshall, of Jamesport, and three grandchildren.

Mark S. Terry, 71, Dies Unexpectedly

    Mark S. Terry, 71, died unexpectedly Friday morning at Gallatin.
    Mr. Terry, a former Gilman City resident, was employed at the Hope  Funeral Home at Gallatin.
    Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday at the Hope Chapel. Burial will be in the Masonic  Cemetery at Gilman City.
    Mr. Terry is survived by his wife, Mrs. Malana Terry of the home; to sons, Charles R. Terry, Joplin; and Robert Terry, Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, Hugh Terry, Long Beach, Calif.; C.E. Terry, and Roy Terry, both of Gilman City; tow sisters, Mrs. Beulah Williams and Mrs. Glen Kepley, St. Joseph and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Beulah Williams, Loan Firm Officer, Dies

Service arrangements for Mrs. Beulah Fern Williams, assistant secretary and treasurer of Citizens Loan & Savings Co., are pending at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman mortuary.
    Mrs. Williams, 68, who resided at 2224 Jule Street, died unexpectedly Monday night at a St. Joseph hospital, where she was admitted Sunday.  She had had a heart ailment for some time, and had suffered a previous heart attack.  She was the widow of Marquis Delbert Williams who died about ten years ago.
    Long active in St. Joseph civic life, Mrs. Williams was elected an officer at Citizens in January of 1962, the first woman to be elected to office in the company since its establishment in 1921.  She had been with the firm 20 years at that time.  At one time she was the Republican nominee for public administrator.
    A native of Giman City, Mo., Mrs. Williams was a past president of the women's division of the Chamber of Commerce, the Business and Professional Women's Association, and the Soroptimist Club.  She ws a member of the Church of Christ.
    Survivors include two sons, Max Williams, St. Joseph, and Jack Williams, Granby, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Glenn Kepley, St. Joseph; three brothers, C. E. Terry and Roy Terry, both of Gilman City, and Hugh Terry, Long Beach, Cal.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
