Isaac H. SIMKINS

  Was married secondly and is buries with his second wife.


Andrew James MCCONNAUGHEY

     Andrew was in the Civil War, Ohio infantry.  He was an invalit the last 10 years.  The Civil War pension papers had his name spelled McConnahay.  He was afraid if the whole family did not spell it that way, he would lose his pension.  That spelling is still used by his descendants.  His wife, Angeline, is said to have had beautiful blonde hair and brown eyes.  In 1867 they went to Cincinatti; 1870 to MO, 1874 to Nebraska, in 1878 to Polk Co., IA, in 1882 to Huron So. Dakota.  Angeline lived her last 3 1/2 years in Oregon, with her daughter, Mrs. John Stribich.


John Henry MCCONNAUGHEY

   John Henry helped start the Pleasant View Church.  The family moved from Sinking Springs, OH to Sheridan, Wyo. on 13 July 1916.  Nancy Jane was orphaned and worked for other families, as did her brother and sister.  One brother, John, was sent to the Civil War in place of the son of the man he worked for.  Having fone thru much at age 14, he returned from the war to the farm where he had worked; the son killed him for running away from the war.

   In the 1880 census, Mary J. is listed as a widow & lived in Washington Twp.  No record found after that; probably married again.
